You know, just whitewash over the failed industry which are mammograms. During the Google Hangout, Doctors essentially push the failure of mammograms off on the media to make it seem as though it isn’t real. As if it is concocted for some sort of alternative health driven purposes. False positives are really putting a black eye on an industry that’s being criticized more and more as time goes on. The modern woman (and man) are starting to realize that mammograms are almost a hoax, solely set up for the purpose to drive revenue.
The Hangout is here.
But I also suggest you read a full breakdown over the matter here on HealthNewsReview.org. Mary Guiden, a communications manager and writer at the University of Washington, has a great piece that’s worth the read.
Women are confused about mammography-related research thanks to the media. Reporters are regurgitating press releases on certain studies, which creates that confusion. The media is in the business of attracting attention, which is what led to this confusion and misinformation in the first place.
